Established in 1871, Christiana Lutheran Church of Salisbury, NC, exists to worship the living God and encourages its members to live out their worship in service to others. Our church is Christ Centered, Mission Driven, Traditionally Grounded and Congregationally Focused. We seek to train people to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Everyone is welcome to join us in the study of God’s Word, worship, and service.

 

Our Worship Service begins every Sunday at 10:30 AM. Guests are always welcome!  We are located at 6190 US Hwy 52, Salisbury, NC 28146.

Church members contribute in preparing the church for its celebration of God by lighting the candles, arranging the flowers, and greeting members and guests at the door.

 

Our Worship typically starts with a welcome by the Pastor followed by announcements and prayer concerns. The actual worship begins in quiet meditation followed by gathering music. We then recite our Prayer of Confession and sing an opening song. The Prayer of the Day is followed by the First and Second Lessons which are scriptures read by one of the Church members.

 

Next is the Children’s Sermon, usually delivered by the Youth Director, for children age 3 through 3rd grade. Children’s Sermon Part 2 follows & the children leave the sanctuary with adult leaders to hear the good news on their level.

 

While the children are gone, the Pastor delivers his sermon, centered around a theme that is appropriate within the Church’s religious calendar. After the Sermon, the children return and everyone joins in a song of praise. Together we recite the Apostles’ Creed, followed by the offertory. After more music and songs, the pastor reads the prayers and the congregation says the Lord’s Prayer. The Service ends with a Benediction, the Dismissal, a closing song and sending music. On the first and third Sundays of every month, the sacrament of Holy Communion is included in our worship service.
